Most litter routines are really about how often you have to think about the tray, not how it smells in the moment. A litter designed to be replaced whole on a fixed schedule removes a daily decision rather than reducing an odour.

This is a natural attapulgite clay litter, sold as a single-dose 4-litre pack. You fill the tray with the entire pack in one go, and Sanicat's instruction is to replace it completely after 7 days rather than scoop-and-top-up. Removing solid waste in between is optional, not a daily requirement.

• Natural attapulgite clay litter
• Single-dose 4-litre pack, designed to last up to 7 days
• Fill the tray with the entire pack in one go
• Remove faecal matter as you prefer - daily removal isn't required
• Best suited to a 30 x 40cm tray, well-ventilated, single-cat household
• Aloe Vera scented

On multi-cat households. Sanicat's own optimal conditions are a 30 x 40cm tray in a single-cat home - this isn't sized or tested against a household sharing a tray between more than one cat, so expect to change it more often than every 7 days in a multi-cat setup rather than relying on the stated interval.

Who it's for: a single-cat household with a 30 x 40cm tray who wants to fill it once and leave it, rather than scooping and topping up daily.
