Catit Pea Husk Unscented Clumping Cat Litter

The perfume in a scented litter is aimed squarely at the person holding the scoop. The cat is voting on something else entirely, which is how the stuff feels underfoot, and that is the argument for an unscented litter with a fine pellet.

Catit make this one from upcycled pea husks rather than clay, so it is plant-based and comes out of a crop by-product. The pellets are ultra-fine and smooth, which is the part aimed at sensitive paws, and Catit quote 300% absorbency - up to three times its weight in moisture - to lock liquid and odour away quickly. It clumps tightly, and Catit say the clumps do not stick to the tray, which is the difference between scooping and chiselling. They also state 99% dust-free and low tracking.

On the weight. A bag of plant litter and a bag of clay are not the same purchase at the same weight, because pea husk is much lighter for its volume and no litre figure is published here at all. Nothing has been supplied about flushing either, and plant-based is not the same thing as flushable.
