A cat with sensitive paws will avoid a litter tray before it avoids anything else in the house, which is most of the argument for a litter made of husks rather than mineral clay.

This one is made from recycled pea husks mixed with food-grade starch, corn powder and guar gum as natural clumping agents, giving it a natural off-white colour and a delicate vanilla scent. It is 99.9% dust-free, forms strong clumps that do not stick to the box or scoop, and is biodegradable and flushable. One 5.6KG box lasts around 60 days for a single cat.

On multi-cat households. The 60-day figure is quoted for a single cat, and nothing on the card says how that scales. With two or more cats sharing a tray, expect it to run out considerably faster than a simple "half as long per cat" calculation would suggest, since more use means more frequent full changes, not just more clumps.

Who it's for: owners of one cat wanting a lower-dust, flushable litter, particularly where a cat has shown any sensitivity to mineral or clay litters underfoot.
