Scratching isn't a cat asking for a toy; it's a cat maintaining its claws and marking territory, which is why a scratching post that doesn't get used is usually just in the wrong place, not a lost cause.

This is Rosewood's Saffron post: a seagrass-covered post on a square textile base, topped with a soft luxury plush cushion. A hanging feather toy, infused with catnip, is included to draw a cat toward the post rather than the sofa. Rosewood describe the construction as strong and sturdy, with assembly needed once it arrives — at 5.75kg once packed, this is a substantial, not a token, scratching post.

On the dimensions. Rosewood don't publish a height, width or depth for this post — only that it's a single unit that needs building. If you're working to a specific space, the 5.75kg parcel weight is the only size clue supplied; there's no diagram of the finished footprint.

Who it's for: owners of a cat that scratches furniture and needs a dedicated, sturdy post rather than a lightweight one, especially where a catnip lure will help redirect the habit.
