Full description
Wood holds a scent differently to fabric, releasing it more slowly rather than all at once, which changes how long a catnip toy stays interesting rather than just how it looks.
This is a wooden ball with a 100% natural catnip filling, part of Rosewood's Bavarian Catnip range alongside their plain catnip ball and marble balls. The wood casing is the main difference between this and the unwrapped versions in the same range.

- Filled with 100% natural catnip
- Part of Rosewood's Bavarian Catnip range
- Sold as a single toy
On chewing. A wooden shell will hold up to batting and rolling better than loose catnip, but Rosewood don't say what happens once a cat chews through the wood itself — treat it as a toy to bat rather than to gnaw once the surface starts to give.
Who it's for: owners who want catnip in a longer-lasting casing rather than loose or fabric-wrapped, and cats that prefer batting a solid object over shredding a soft one.

Why we chose it
A wood casing changes how the catnip is released compared to the same brand's plain ball, which is worth the small extra cost if your cat gets through loose catnip too quickly. It's the same natural catnip Rosewood use across the whole range.
