Full description
Some cats treat catnip as an occasional novelty and others reorganise their whole afternoon around it, and there is no way to know which kind you have until you put a ball of it down in front of them.
This one is made from 100% natural catnip, shaped into a ball rather than stuffed inside a fabric toy, so there is nothing between the cat and the plant itself. Rosewood market it as part of their Bavarian Catnip range, alongside a willow ball made the same way.
- 100% natural catnip
- Shaped into a solid ball, not fabric-wrapped
- Single ball, sold on its own
- Part of Rosewood's Bavarian Catnip range
On mess. A ball of loose-bound catnip breaks down faster than a toy with catnip sealed inside it, and Rosewood publish no guidance on how long one ball lasts or how to store what's left. Expect crumbs before you expect a worn-out toy.
Who it's for: owners who want catnip in its plain form rather than inside a fabric toy, and cats that are known catnip responders.

Common questions
Is this catnip only, or is it inside a toy?
It's a ball made from 100% natural catnip on its own, not stuffed inside a fabric toy.
How long does one ball last?
Rosewood don't publish a lifespan for it — a loose catnip ball will wear down faster than a toy with the catnip sealed inside.
Is it suitable for all cats?
It's a natural catnip product; not every cat responds to catnip, and there's no way to know in advance which is true of yours.

Why we chose it
Plain catnip is the cheapest way to find out if your cat actually responds to it, before spending more on a toy built around the same ingredient. Rosewood naming the range Bavarian is a marketing detail rather than one we can verify — the content is what matters, and that's stated as 100% natural.
