Collagen is naturally present in a dog's joints and skin already, which is presumably why so many chews are now built around it rather than the plainer hide chews that came before.

Rosewood's Collagen Retriever Roll is built on 72% natural collagen extracted from South American grass-fed cattle, with 22% real chicken. It is fully digestible and positioned as a substitute for rawhide, suitable for dogs of all life stages. It comes in a 105G format.

One thing worth knowing. No crude protein, fat or fibre percentage is published for this listing beyond the two headline figures above, so there is nothing further to break down on an analytical panel. Rosewood's own description associates collagen generally with joint, muscle, skin and coat support, which is the manufacturer's characterisation of the ingredient rather than a claim measured for this product.

Who it's for: owners at any life stage of dog ownership — puppy through to senior — looking for a rawhide alternative with a shorter, clearer ingredient story than a hide chew.
