Full description

Peanut butter is one of the more reliable ways to get a reluctant dog to actually finish a dental stick rather than lose interest halfway through, which is presumably the whole reason this flavour exists.

The base is tapioca and peas, bound with glycerol of vegetable origin, with 4% peanut butter for flavour and hydrolysed yeasts added as a natural source of protein and B vitamins.

Grain-free and meat-free
Protein 4.0%, fat 1.0%, fibre 3%, ash 1.5%, moisture 17%
4% peanut butter
Contains hydrolysed yeasts
Contains sodium hexametaphosphate to help reduce tartar
Suitable for dogs from 6 months old

On the peanut butter. At 4%, peanut butter is a flavouring rather than the main ingredient — tapioca and peas make up most of the recipe. Peanut allergies in dogs are uncommon but not unheard of, so if a dog has a known reaction to peanuts, this isn't the stick to start with.

Who it's for: owners of dogs from 6 months old that need to avoid both grain and meat, looking for a flavour their dog will actually want to finish.

Pooch & Mutt Peanut Butter Dental Sticks

Why we chose it

A stick a dog will reliably eat all of, rather than half-chew and abandon, is worth more than most other qualities a dental stick can have. Peanut butter does that job here, and it's grain-free and meat-free underneath, so it still suits dogs avoiding either.
