The large cookie biscuit is the oldest shape in the dog world and it survives because it does two jobs at once: it is hard enough that a dog has to work at it, and big enough that one is a proper reward rather than a crumb. Pointer make theirs in a 10kg box, which is how the maths works if you are handing them out daily.

The analysis gives crude protein 17.5%, inorganic matter 12%, fat content 6.5% and crude fibre 2.5%. Pointer describe them as ideal for maintaining healthy teeth and gums — which is the usual claim for a hard biscuit and comes down to the chewing rather than anything in the recipe — and say to feed them as part of a nutritionally complete diet, as a training aid or a reward.

The composition supplied to us is incomplete. Pointer publish the analysis in full but the ingredient list we hold reads only "derivatives of vegetable origin", which is plainly not the whole recipe — so if your dog has an intolerance and you need to know exactly what is in these, ask us to get the full list from Pointer before you order rather than assuming. Inorganic matter at 12% is also on the high side for a biscuit, which is worth knowing if you are counting minerals for any reason.
