Some dogs want a toy to destroy and some want a toy to carry, and the carriers are badly served by the tough-toy shelf. This one is for them: a soft pterosaur with swinging wings, light enough to be picked up and paraded around the house all afternoon, with a squeaker inside for the moments when parading turns into shaking. At roughly 15cm it suits a smaller mouth.

The wings are the part that makes it work as a fetch toy, because they catch air and make the flight path wobble, so the toy does not simply travel in a straight line and the dog has to adjust on the run. The rest is plain soft plush, which is exactly right for a dog who sleeps with their toys and quite wrong for one who opens seams. Five designs share the same swing-wing body, so you can pick the one that suits.
