There is no chest strap and nothing to spread the load, so a dog that lunges puts all of that force through fabric and stitching. How to measure

Measure length along the spine, from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
Measure bust (chest girth) around the widest part of the chest, right behind the front legs.
Compare both figures with the table and choose the size that covers the larger of the two.

Full description

Some mornings you want the dog out and back in without a five-minute harness negotiation on a cold doorstep. A D-ring stitched into the back of this quilted coat means the lead clips straight onto the jacket itself, so the coat does both jobs at once and there is one less thing to wrestle over before a short walk in the dark.

The padding is cotton, quilted in the usual way so that the filling stays put rather than migrating into one end of the coat after a wash. It is warm without being heavy, which matters more for a small dog than a large one, because a bulky coat on a terrier restricts the shoulders and they stop walking properly. Finished in a cartoon print, in XS, S or M, and light at 70g to 90g depending on the size.
