Full description

Cats sleep high and they sleep where the air moves, which is why so many of them end up on the back of the sofa rather than in the bed that was bought for them. Lifting two canvas slings off the floor on a wooden frame gives them air underneath as well as over the top, and that is the whole reason a cat picks a stretched hammock over a padded cushion once the weather warms up.

Each sling is breathable striped canvas held taut across the frame, giving just enough to cradle a cat without swallowing them whole. The maker rates each layer to 40 lb, roughly 18kg, so both tiers can be in use at once. The solid wood frame keeps the thing looking like furniture rather than pet equipment, and at 44 x 44cm across it takes up about the same floor area as a small side table.
