A rawhide alternative only earns the name if a dog will actually work through it, and a knot shape gives a dog something to get its teeth into without the recipe needing meat at all.

These knots are built from sweet potato flour (87%) and rice flour (12%), with vegetable glycerin, calcium propionate, potassium sorbate and brewers yeast rounding out the recipe. They come out very low in protein and fat — crude protein (min) 3%, fat content (min) 0.5%, fibre (max) 0.5%, ash 1%, moisture (max) 17% — and contain no meat, wheat, dairy or eggs. They are not suitable for puppies under 4 months old.
