Leads are chosen by length and width rather than your pet’s body size. Pick the width to suit your pet’s strength and the length to suit how you walk.
How to measure
- Width: lighter, narrower webbing for small dogs; wider, thicker webbing for strong pullers and larger dogs.
- Standard lead (1.2–1.5 m): everyday pavement walks and training.
- Long line (3–10 m): recall practice and open spaces.
- Short / traffic lead (under 1 m): close control in busy areas.
| Length | Best for |
|---|---|
| Under 1 m | Traffic / close control |
| 1.2–1.5 m | Everyday walks (most popular) |
| 1.8–2 m | Relaxed walks, more freedom |
| 3 m + | Recall training, open spaces |
Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact length and width.
Full description
The dangerous part of a dark road is neither you nor the dog. It is the two metres of empty air between you that a driver cannot see and therefore cannot judge. A lit lead draws that line in, and drivers slow for it in a way they do not for a single floating point of light, because the shape itself tells them there is a person on one end and an animal on the other.
This is the lead from the same range as the paw-print collar, in polyester webbing, with the light showing through the same run of paw prints and cycling through seven colours from one unit. Charging is over USB. Polyester was the sensible choice here rather than silicone or moulded plastic: it stays flexible in the cold and it does not go stiff and awkward in the hand halfway through a frosty walk.
- Polyester webbing with paw-print light pattern
- Seven colours cycling from a single unit
- USB charging
- Three sizes: S, M and L
- Supplied as the lead alone, one per pack
Check the length with us first. The manufacturer has left the size field blank: no length, no width, no breaking strain, so we will not print numbers we cannot verify. Tell us the size you are considering and we will get the measurements confirmed before anything ships. And treat this as a visibility aid rather than a control aid, because a dog who pulls hard needs a well-fitted harness, not a brighter lead.
Who it's for: anyone walking along roads without pavements after dark, dog walkers out before work in midwinter, and owners who already have the matching paw-print collar.

A driver cannot see the two metres of empty air between you and the dog, and that is where the danger is. A lit lead draws that line in. Rechargeable by USB, so no watch batteries to hunt for.
