Peanut butter earns its place in a dog's routine less as a food in its own right and more as a delivery mechanism — for a stuffed toy, a lick mat, or getting a tablet down without a fuss.

Paddock Farm's is 98.2% peanuts, with a small amount of hydrogenated vegetable oil (1.8%) added, and it's rich: fat sits at 54.4%, well above what you'd feed as a meal component, with protein at 24.9% and fibre at 2.5%. It's suitable for dogs from 12 weeks old.

On how much this actually is. At over half fat by weight, this is not something to spoon out freely — it belongs in small amounts, smeared into a toy or used as a training reward, rather than added to a bowl as a regular topper. The card doesn't give a specific daily amount, so treat "a little, occasionally" as the working rule rather than looking for a gram figure that isn't supplied.

Who it's for: owners using peanut butter for enrichment — stuffed toys, lick mats, training rewards — rather than as a food to feed in any quantity.
