Full description

Most chews are stripped of fur before they're sold, so one left on is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight — the fur itself is doing a job as the dog gnaws, working between the teeth in a way a smooth chew can't.

These are 100% rabbit feet, fur included, sold as a natural product where colour varies batch to batch. Paddock Farm's analysis shows 54.8% crude protein, 21.31% crude fat, 9.3% moisture and 14.8% crude ash. They're grain and gluten free, and Paddock Farm suggest they're a suitable option for dogs with intolerances or sensitivities, given how short the ingredients list is.

Always supervise while chewing

On the fur. The fur is left on deliberately — it's what gives the chew its floss-like action between a dog's teeth as they gnaw — but it does mean the texture is different from a plain dried meat chew, and it isn't for every dog or every owner's tolerance for the mess.

Who it's for: owners of a dog with food sensitivities who want a genuinely single-ingredient chew, and who don't mind the fur as part of the product.

Why we chose it

A single-ingredient chew with a real mechanical benefit — the fur acting like floss — is more than most treats can claim to do beyond tasting good. Rabbit is also a protein a lot of dogs haven't already been fed, which helps if allergies are the reason you're here.
