Full description

A chew that lasts an evening rather than an afternoon usually means it has been dried and braided rather than just cut into a shape, and that is the whole method behind a goat skin chew.

This one is 100% goat, 30cm long and braided rather than left flat. It reads crude protein 53.1%, crude oils and fats 15.3%, crude ash 2.73% and moisture 6.63% — the fat figure is notably higher than a lot of single-ingredient dog chews, which tends to mean a longer, greasier chew rather than a dry one.

100% goat, single ingredient
Braided, 30CM long
Crude protein 53.1%, crude oils and fats 15.3%
Crude ash 2.73%, moisture 6.63%
Grain and gluten free

On the fat figure: at 15.3% crude fat this is considerably richer than a lot of natural chews, which is worth knowing if you are giving it to a dog that needs to watch its weight, or one prone to an upset stomach with fattier treats.

Who it's for: owners looking for a longer-lasting, braided natural chew for a dog with no known fat sensitivity, supervised while they work through it.

Paddock Farm Goat Skin Braided

Why we chose it

It's braided rather than flat, which is the reason it holds together for longer than a plain strip does. The fat figure — 15.3% — is genuinely higher than most single-ingredient chews, so it earns its place as an occasional chew rather than a daily one.
