Full description

A dog that chews out of boredom rather than hunger needs something that takes real effort to get through, and a single dried ingredient with nothing added tends to be tougher going than a processed treat.

Paddock Farm's Bull Pizzles are 100% beef, air-dried, and read crude protein 86%, crude oils and fats 3.5% and moisture 8.5% — a very lean, high-protein chew with almost nothing else in it. They are British, made in the UK, and Paddock Farm's guidance is to feed as a complementary treat rather than a meal replacement, always supervised, for dogs 12 weeks and over.

What the label doesn't say: Paddock Farm don't give an exact weight per pizzle or a count per bag for this one — feed it as an occasional chew rather than trying to work it into a daily calorie count, and always supervise.

Who it's for: owners of a determined chewer who wants a long-lasting, single-ingredient treat with nothing added, for a dog from 12 weeks up.

Paddock Farm Bull Pizzles

Why we chose it

At 86% protein and 3.5% fat this is about as lean and single-purpose as a dog chew gets — one ingredient, air-dried, nothing to cross-check against a food sensitivity. Being made in the UK from British beef is also worth something if you'd rather know where a chew came from.
