A working dog burns through more energy in a day than one that spends most of it on the sofa, which is the entire reason a 'working dog' recipe exists as its own category rather than just being adult food with a different label.

This recipe is 45% beef and 40% chicken, with apple, butternut squash, carrot, kelp, salmon oil and spinach making up the rest. It analyses at 15% protein, 11.8% fat, 1.5% fibre, 68.8% moisture, 0.7% calcium and 0.5% phosphorus — a fat content on the higher side, in line with a more active dog's needs.

On the description mismatch. Some of the supporting text supplied with this product describes a different recipe entirely — chicken with bone, beef tripe and beef heart in different proportions — which doesn't match the 45% beef / 40% chicken composition and analysis given for this SKU. We've written this page from the composition and nutrition fields, not the mismatched description.

Who it's for: owners of an active or working dog whose energy needs are genuinely higher than an average pet dog's.
