Freeze-drying removes water from a fresh ingredient without cooking it, which is why a freeze-dried topper can carry a nutritional profile much closer to raw meat than a baked treat of the same size — it's essentially the same beef with the moisture taken out.

Nutriment's topper is 95% beef, with raspberry, beet pulp and small named amounts of boswellia, ginger, turmeric and black pepper. It's sold as a 50G pack, intended to boost an existing bowl rather than serve as a meal on its own.

• Beef 95%, raspberry 2%, beet pulp 0.8%
• Boswellia 0.2%, ginger 0.2%, turmeric 0.2%, black pepper 0.02%
• Protein 47%, fat 38%, fibre 3.5%, moisture 2.5%
• Freeze-dried, not raw or cooked
• Topper format — a boost, not a standalone meal

On the botanicals. Turmeric, ginger and black pepper are included at small, named percentages. Nutriment's own reasoning for including them relates to joint support, but that's the manufacturer's stated reasoning rather than something we're claiming ourselves.

Who it's for: owners wanting to add a high-meat freeze-dried boost to an existing bowl, rather than switching to a new complete food entirely.
