Full description

The order of two named proteins can matter when an owner is comparing mixed raw foods. In this formula turkey leads salmon, and both have their own declared percentage.

Nutriment Adult Dog Raw Salmon & Turkey Formula Frozen is complete frozen raw food. Turkey is 45%, salmon 30%, beef heart 5%, beef liver 3% and beef kidney 2%. The 15% vegetable-and-superfood portion lists carrot, squash, broccoli, kale, seeds, wheatgerm oil, chicory, blueberry powder and spirulina. The composition declares 0% grain or filler. A separate bone percentage is not stated. On an as-fed basis, moisture is 67.2%, protein 14.5%, fat 14.5%, ash 2.1% and fibre 0.1%.

Meat and bone are combined in one declaration. The composition states 85% meat, bone and offal but provides no separate bone percentage. A malformed promotional additives field is also omitted rather than treated as label evidence. Nutriment’s guide is 2-3% of ideal body weight per day, ideally split over two meals and adjusted to maintain weight. Keep frozen, defrost fully in the refrigerator and use within 3-4 days.

Why we chose it

The 45% turkey and 30% salmon split is more useful than a joined flavour name. The smaller pack also offers the same clear recipe while the missing bone breakdown remains visible.
