Full description

A dog doing a genuine day's work burns through energy differently to one on a sofa, which is the whole reasoning behind a raw range aimed at working dogs specifically rather than dogs in general. Natural Instinct's Working Dog line is built to match that output rather than a household pet's.

This recipe is turkey meat with bone at 85%, and it is raw and frozen rather than cooked down, blended with apple, butternut squash, carrot, kelp, salmon oil and spinach, with added vitamin C. It comes as a 1kg block.

Turkey meat with bone, 85%
Moisture 66.9%, protein 16.3%, fat 9.1%, fibre 1.5%
Calcium 1.6%, phosphorus 1.0%
Complete food for high-energy, adult working dogs
1KG pack, frozen

On feeding a raw diet. No portion table is published on this card, and switching a dog onto raw is not something to do overnight - hands, utensils and surfaces need the same care as raw meat in a kitchen would get. Talk to a vet before changing an adult dog's diet if it has any existing health condition.

Who it's for: adult working dogs with genuinely high energy demands, and owners already set up for raw feeding - freezer space, hygiene routine and all - rather than someone looking for their first raw food to try.

Why we chose it

It is pitched specifically at working dogs rather than pets in general, which matters because the energy output of a dog that actually works all day is not the same as one that does not. The 85% turkey with bone means it is a genuinely meat-forward recipe rather than one padded out with vegetables.
