Thinner than a pig ear, and they go faster
Lamb ears do not last as long as a snout or a braid — they are a treat rather than an evening's occupation, so if you are after something to keep a determined chewer busy, this is the wrong shape. Feed them supervised with water available, take away any piece small enough to be swallowed whole, and count them towards the day's food: at protein at a minimum of 74.21% and 9.16% fat they are not a light snack.
Why we chose it
Lamb is the protein that fits between the common ones and the exotic ones — cheap enough to use regularly, unusual enough to be worth trying on a sensitive dog. At 9.16% fat these are also considerably leaner than a pig ear.

Full description
Lamb ears sit in a useful spot between a rich pig ear and a lean cows ear. They are thinner and smaller than either, which makes them a sensible size for a medium dog, and lamb is a protein a good many dogs have never had — worth knowing if you are working through what your dog reacts to.
The composition is lamb, 100%. The analysis gives protein at a minimum of 74.21%, fat 9.16%, moisture 4% and ash 7.83%. NAW state all their lamb products are gluten and grain free with no additives, and that these suit dogs over 4 months of age. Their claim for the chewing is that it helps break down plaque and gives a dog some mental work to do.

Who it's for: medium dogs who need a manageable single-ingredient treat, and anyone using lamb as a novel protein while working out a sensitivity.
