Full description

A beef name can hide how much of a chew is actually meat. These sticks put potato first and declare beef and chicken separately, which makes the label easier to judge on its real proportions.

Potato, glycerine, potato starch and tapioca precede beef at 10%. Chicken is 5%, coconut 0.5% and turmeric 0.1%, with cellulose and sodium bicarbonate also listed. Tocopherol extracts and citric acid are declared as technological additives. The 120G sticks are complementary treats for adult dogs. Their analysis gives 6.5% protein, 3.5% fat, 1.5% fibre, 3.5% ash, 20% moisture and 296 kcal/100g. The recipe does not include a supplied daily quantity.

Beef is not the first ingredient. Potato-based ingredients lead the list, and chicken is also present, so these are neither beef-only nor single-protein chews. No stick count, dimensions or feeding limit is stated in the available information; use the pack guidance for the individual dog.

Who it's for: adult dogs whose owners want a potato-based chew stick with beef and chicken and do not need a single-meat recipe.

Why we chose it

The 10% beef and 5% chicken declaration is the deciding reason to present these clearly. It stops a shopper choosing on the beef name alone when potato ingredients make up the front of the composition.
