Hover to zoomSize guide & how to measure
Collars are sized by the neck girth — the measurement around the base of the neck where the collar will sit.
How to measure
- Wrap a soft tape around the base of the neck.
- Add room for two fingers between the tape and the neck.
- Use that measurement to pick a size whose range it falls within.
| Size | Typical neck girth | Rough guide |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 20–28 cm | Toy breeds, kittens |
| S | 26–36 cm | Small dogs |
| M | 34–48 cm | Medium dogs |
| L | 46–60 cm | Large dogs |
| XL | 58–72 cm | Giant breeds |
Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact measurements.
Full description
Fabric collars hold on to everything a winter walk throws at them, mud, ditch water, wet dog, and after a fortnight you can smell one from across the kitchen. This is a moulded PVC band instead. It wipes clean under a tap, dries in seconds and does not absorb anything, which is the honest reason to choose it over webbing rather than anything to do with how it looks in the photographs.
The light runs the length of the band in a single steady colour, and a single colour is easier for a driver to place at distance than a multicolour pattern, which reads as decoration rather than as something to slow down for. It is made in orange, blue, red and pink, across three size codes, and it is the same band all year, since PVC does not stiffen in frost or go tacky in a warm August.
- Moulded PVC band, not fabric webbing
- Single-colour light along the length
- Three size codes: S, M and L
- Colours: orange, blue, red and pink
- One collar per pack
This is a collar, not a lead. It has been listed under leads, ours included until now, and the name it came with mentions dog walking lights and traction both.
Who it's for: muddy dogs, spaniels and labradors who swim in November, and anyone tired of peeling a stiff, smelly fabric collar off a dog at the back door.
