Collars are sized by the neck girth — the measurement around the base of the neck where the collar will sit.
How to measure
- Wrap a soft tape around the base of the neck.
- Add room for two fingers between the tape and the neck.
- Use that measurement to pick a size whose range it falls within.
| Size | Typical neck girth | Rough guide |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 20–28 cm | Toy breeds, kittens |
| S | 26–36 cm | Small dogs |
| M | 34–48 cm | Medium dogs |
| L | 46–60 cm | Large dogs |
| XL | 58–72 cm | Giant breeds |
Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact measurements.

Full description
Once the clocks go back, most walks happen in the dark, and the moment a dog trots twenty metres ahead on a footpath they are effectively invisible to anyone driving towards you. A lit band around the neck answers that at exactly the height a driver's eye lands, and unlike a reflective strip it does not need headlights pointed straight at it before it does anything at all.
The band is silicone rather than webbing, which matters more than it sounds. Silicone stays soft in cold weather, wipes clean under a tap instead of soaking up ditch water and wet-dog smell, and has no fabric weave for the light to fight through, so the glow runs evenly around the whole loop rather than pooling at one end. From flat it takes about ninety minutes on charge and then runs for eight to ten hours.
- Soft silicone band, not fabric webbing
- 150mAh polymer lithium battery, rechargeable
- Around 90 minutes to charge, 8 to 10 hours of light
- Six colours: red, pink, white, royal blue, green and multicolour
- Supplied as one collar per pack
On sizing: Measure your dog's neck with two fingers' slack under the tape, send it to us, and we will tell you whether it fits before you order. Worth saying too that a light is not identification: UK law still wants a tag with your name and address on it in public.
Who it's for: anyone walking on unlit lanes or roads without pavements, and owners of dark-coated dogs, black labradors, rottweilers and black cockapoos, who vanish completely at dusk.

Why we chose it
A lit band sits at exactly the height a driver's eye lands, and unlike a reflective strip it does not need headlights pointed at it first. Silicone wipes clean. It is not an ID tag; the legal one stays on.
