Full description

A dog or cat's breath is usually the first sign anyone gets that its teeth need attention, and by the time it smells the plaque underneath has usually been building for a while. A toothpaste that goes in the cupboard before that happens is doing the more useful job.

Johnson's make this one for both species from a single 50g tube, so a multi-pet household is not buying two separate pastes for the same task. It is brushed onto the teeth and gums rather than rinsed off, and Johnson's describe its job in three parts: cleaning the teeth, protecting the gums and freshening the breath.

50g tube
Suitable for cats and dogs
Cleans teeth
Protects gums
Freshens breath

Before you buy. Johnson's give us the size and the job it does, but not a flavour, an ingredient list or a recommended brushing frequency, so if you want a proper daily routine, that structure has to come from your vet or a dental chart rather than this pack.

Who it's for: a household with a cat and a dog who both need their teeth brushed, and would rather keep one tube by the toothbrush than two.

Why we chose it

One tube covering both species is the reason to stock this over a dog-only or cat-only paste. It is small enough to keep by the sink and use without thinking about it.
