Full description
A visible flea on a dog's coat is really just the one you happened to spot — washing is the part of a flea programme that deals with the ones you didn't, alongside whatever's applied directly for ongoing protection.
This 5 litre trade-size shampoo is described by Johnson's as mild and non-irritant, helping to cleanse fleas from the coat while beautifying it, and it's suitable for all breeds of dog.
- 5 litre bottle
- Mild, non-irritant formula
- Helps cleanse fleas from the coat
- Beautifies the coat
- Suitable for all breeds
On what a wash can't do alone. A flea shampoo washes off what's on the coat at the time — it doesn't leave ongoing protection afterwards, so Johnson's own framing is as one part of a wider flea programme rather than a standalone fix. Pair it with an on-animal treatment for continued protection, not instead of one.
Who it's for: owners or groomers washing dogs regularly as part of managing an ongoing flea problem, buying in the 5 litre size because it's needed often rather than once.

Why we chose it
Mild and non-irritant matters on a dog whose skin is already unsettled from flea activity, rather than adding a harsh wash on top of an existing irritation. Buying it as a 5 litre bottle only makes sense for a household washing regularly as part of managing the problem.
