Cats are good at hiding a stiff joint — a missed jump onto the windowsill reads as a mood, not a symptom, until it happens often enough that it's clearly not. Anything for feline joint support has to work through the bowl, because a cat that won't take a tablet simply won't.

This is a pellet formula rather than a tablet, wheat and soya free, and made in the UK. Johnson's describe it as containing 32 active nutraceuticals, naming glucosamine, hyaluronic acid, curcumin, piperine and Omega 3 among them, alongside vitamins C, D and E, formulated to help ease joint stiffness and discomfort while supporting mobility and the natural maintenance of joints and cartilage. It comes in a 90g tub, for cats.

What the label doesn't say. Johnson's give no breakdown of how much of each of the 32 nutraceuticals is in a gram of pellets, and no minimum age to start using it — this is a maintenance supplement rather than a diagnosis or a treatment for arthritis, so a cat that's suddenly reluctant to move or clearly in pain needs a vet visit rather than more granules.

Who it's for: owners of an older or less mobile cat looking for a wheat and soya free option they can mix into food, rather than a tablet a cat is likely to refuse.
