Specifications

Brand: Johnson's

Full description

Older pets slow down gradually enough that owners often adjust around it without quite naming what's happening — shorter walks, a lower step instead of a jump onto the sofa — long before anyone calls it a joint problem outright.

These are extra-strength tablets aimed specifically at older cats and dogs, built around glucosamine, chondroitin, Omega 3 and green lipped mussel, alongside a range of vitamins. Johnson's describe them as a nutritional supplement for the maintenance of flexibility and mobility in joints, intended to offer older pets a better quality of life. The pack contains 30 tablets.

Extra strength formula
Glucosamine, chondroitin, Omega 3 and green lipped mussel
Plus a range of vitamins
For older cats and dogs

What extra strength doesn't mean. Johnson's don't publish exact quantities of each ingredient per tablet, and "extra strength" is their own description rather than a clinical dose — this is a maintenance supplement, not a substitute for veterinary pain relief. A pet in visible discomfort needs a vet, not a stronger supplement.

Who it's for: owners of an older dog or cat who's noticeably slowing down and want a joint supplement built specifically for that stage of life, rather than a general all-ages formula.

Johnson's 4 Joints Tablets

Why we chose it

Green lipped mussel alongside the more usual glucosamine and chondroitin is a combination worth having, and it's aimed specifically at older pets rather than a one-size formula. 30 tablets is enough to judge whether it's making a difference before committing to more.
