Size guide & how to measure
Collars are sized by the neck girth — the measurement around the base of the neck where the collar will sit.
How to measure
- Wrap a soft tape around the base of the neck.
- Add room for two fingers between the tape and the neck.
- Use that measurement to pick a size whose range it falls within.
| Size | Typical neck girth | Rough guide |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 20–28 cm | Toy breeds |
| S | 26–36 cm | Small dogs |
| M | 34–48 cm | Medium dogs |
| L | 46–60 cm | Large dogs |
| XL | 58–72 cm | Giant breeds |
Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact measurements.
Full description
A collar's D-ring takes the full force of a lead-pull the moment a dog spots a squirrel, which is exactly the part that's cheapest to skimp on and most expensive to have fail.
This collar has a tightly woven nylon webbing base with a multi-colour camper-van ribbon overlay, a secure buckle and a welded D-ring. The size we have measurements for is the Large: 1" (2.5cm) wide, fitting an 18-24in (45-60cm) neck.
- Tightly woven nylon webbing with a camper-van ribbon overlay
- Secure buckle and welded D-ring
- Large size: 1" (2.5cm) wide, fits an 18-24in (45-60cm) neck
- Fully adjustable strap
- Multi-colour "Bright" print
Only one size's measurements supplied. We're given the Large's width and neck-size range, 2.5cm wide, 18-24in (45-60cm) neck; other sizes on this page are not detailed to us, so measure your dog's neck against these figures before assuming a smaller listed size will fit the same way.
Who it's for: owners of a dog with an 18-24in neck who want a collar that looks more distinctive than plain nylon, without giving up a welded D-ring.

Why we chose it
A welded D-ring rather than a stitched or riveted one is the practical reason to stock this over a cheaper plain collar: it's the part that takes the strain, and it is not worth saving money on. The campervan print is what makes it sell; the D-ring is what makes it worth selling.
