A cat that only has furniture to climb on will use furniture to climb on, which is the entire economic case for a scratching post that also offers a platform or two. Happy Pet's Nature First post gives a cat somewhere to climb as well as somewhere to scratch, on the theory that boredom and claw damage tend to be the same problem.

It stands 67 x 34 x 34cm and combines a soft grey fabric base with several platforms for climbing and lounging, a sisal rope for scratching, and a fluffy ball on a string for batting around. Supervision is recommended while your cat is getting used to it.

• 67 x 34 x 34cm overall
• Sisal rope for scratching
• Fabric-covered platforms for climbing and lounging
• Ball on a string for play
• Suits households with one or several cats

On the name. This is listed as a "w/wood" post, but the material facts we hold describe a soft grey fabric base and a sisal scratching rope — nothing here confirms a wooden frame, so we can't promise one is inside it. Treat "wood" in the name with a pinch of salt until we can verify it.

Who it's for: owners of one or more cats who want a single piece of furniture that covers climbing, scratching and batting a toy around, rather than buying three separate things.
