A headcollar that comes off mid-walk is worse than not using one at all, because it usually happens at the exact moment a dog lunges. The Halti Link exists purely to stop that: a short connector between the headcollar and the collar underneath, so if the headcollar slips, the dog is still attached to you by the collar.
It is a simple, single-size spare part rather than a headcollar itself, sold on its own for anyone who already owns a Halti and wants the backup connection.
