Full description

Chewing does more for a dog's teeth than most owners give it credit for, and a treat built to be chewed rather than swallowed in one bite is doing a different job from a soft training treat.

Good Boy's Mega Chicken & Carrot Stick is built around chicken breast (30%) and carrots (6.4%), bulked with corn starch and wheat flour. Analysis comes out at 16% protein and just 1% fat.

30% chicken breast
Carrots at 6.4%
Protein 16%, fat 1%, fibre 1%, ash 2%, moisture 18%
Contains wheat flour (not grain free)
Not suitable for puppies under 4 months
100G pack

On the ingredients. This one isn't grain free — wheat flour and corn starch both appear in the ingredient list — which is worth knowing if you're avoiding grain for a specific dog, even though the chicken content (30%) is genuine and the fat comes out low at 1%.

Who it's for: owners of dogs over 4 months old wanting a chewy dental-style treat rather than a soft one, on a dog with no known grain sensitivity.

Good Boy Mega Chicken & Carrot Stick

Why we chose it

A 1% fat content on a chewy treat is unusually low, and that's worth pointing out rather than the chicken content alone, since plenty of chicken-named treats carry far more fat than this one does. The chewy texture also does more for a dog's teeth than a soft treat of the same size.
