Full description

A treat marketed as a "bite" should actually be bite-sized, and it's worth checking that against the ingredient percentages too - a small treat can still be mostly filler if the meat content doesn't hold up.

These don't have that problem: duck breast is 66% of the recipe, with rice at 6.5%, alongside pea protein, peanut protein, wheat flour, tapioca starch and a touch of caramelised sugar. Good Boy's analysis gives crude protein at 33.5% and fat at 3%.

70G pack
Duck breast 66%, rice 6.5%
Crude protein 33.5%, fat 3%, fibre 1.5%, ash 3%
Contains wheat flour and peanut protein
Not suitable for puppies under 4 months old

On allergens. This one contains both wheat flour and peanut protein in the ingredient list - two of the more common sensitivities - so it isn't the treat to reach for if your dog has a known issue with either.

Who it's for: owners of dogs over 4 months old, without a wheat or peanut sensitivity, who want a high-meat bite-sized duck treat.

Good Boy Meaty Bite Duck & Rice

Why we chose it

Sixty-six percent duck is a strong meat content for a bite-sized treat, and the protein figure of 33.5% backs that up. It's worth knowing about the wheat and peanut protein in the mix before buying, which is exactly why we've flagged it rather than left it to the small print.
