Full description

A chew meant to keep a dog occupied for a while is usually built from something slow to work through rather than something rich, and that trade-off shows up clearly on this one's label.

Pea starch is the first ingredient here, ahead of chicken breast at 26%, with potato starch, corn starch and tapioca starch making up most of the rest. Good Boy's analysis reflects that: crude protein is a low 7%, with fat at just 1% - this is built to be long-lasting rather than meat-rich.

Pack of 4
Chicken breast 26%, cauliflower powder 4%, egg yolk powder 3%
Crude protein 7%, fat 1%, fibre 3%, ash 4%, calcium 1%
Vitamin E added at 300mg/kg
Designed to keep dogs occupied working through to the tasty middle

On the name. "Busy Bar" is an accurate description of the job it does - the low protein (7%) and starch-first ingredient list tell you this is built to last rather than to be a high-meat treat, and that's worth knowing if you're choosing on protein content.

Who it's for: owners after a long-lasting occupier chew rather than a high-protein treat, for dogs that like working through to a flavoured middle.

Why we chose it

We'd rather say plainly that this is a starch-based occupier chew than let "Busy Bar" suggest something meatier. It does exactly the job it's built for, which is keeping a dog occupied for a while, and it's cheap enough to hand out often for that purpose.
