Full description

A treat that's mostly protein rather than filler tends to disappear faster, which for some dogs is exactly the point and for owners watching a waistline is exactly the problem.

These twists wrap pork meat around a rawhide stick, and Good Boy's own analysis puts crude protein at 70% with fat at just 2%. The recipe is grain-free, and the ingredient list is short: pork, rawhide, tapioca starch, vegetable glycerin and salt.

60G pack
Pork 54%, wrapped around a rawhide stick
Crude protein 70%, fat 2%
Grain-free recipe
Not suitable for puppies under 4 months old
Give under supervision, sized appropriately to avoid a choking hazard

On what's not said. This is a rawhide product, and Good Boy's own safety note is about choosing a size appropriate to your dog rather than about rawhide itself - it doesn't say how to judge that beyond "the age and breed of your dog". If your dog swallows chews rather than working through them slowly, a rawhide-based treat is worth watching closely regardless of size.

Who it's for: owners of dogs over 4 months old who want a genuinely high-protein, low-fat chew, and who'll supervise a rawhide-based treat rather than leave it down.

Good Boy Chewy Pork Twists

Why we chose it

Seventy percent protein against 2% fat is a proper number for a chew, not a rounding trick, and it's rare to see that ratio at this price point. The short ingredient list is the other half of it - pork, rawhide, starch, glycerin, salt, and nothing else to read through.
