Full description

A treat that's mostly filler doesn't do much for a dog beyond the taste, which is why the protein figure on a treat's label is worth reading before the ingredient list. Good Boy's Chewy Chicken Twists lead with real chicken breast rather than a meat derivative.

The recipe is 60% chicken breast wrapped around a rawhide stick, bound with tapioca starch and vegetable glycerin. That composition gives it a crude protein figure of 76%, with fat at just 2% — a genuinely lean, high-protein treat rather than a filler biscuit. The recipe is wheat and cereal free.

Chicken breast 60%, rawhide 33%
Crude protein 76%, fat content 2%
Wheat and cereal free
Not suitable for puppies under 4 months
Should not exceed 10% of daily calorie intake
320G pack

One thing worth knowing. This is a rawhide-centred chew, and rawhide is a genuine choking and blockage risk if a dog swallows a large piece rather than working through it — Good Boy's own guidance is to feed it under supervision on a surface that won't stain.

Who it's for: owners of an adult dog (over 4 months) who want a high-protein, low-fat treat, and who supervise chew time rather than leaving a dog alone with a rawhide-based treat.

Good Boy Chewy Chicken Twists

Why we chose it

76% protein against 2% fat is a genuinely lean treat, not just a marketing line, and that's worth paying for if you're watching calorie intake closely. The chicken breast content is also real rather than a flavouring.
