Full description
A flaky coat is one of those things owners often blame on the weather before they think about the shampoo, when a harsh wash is just as likely to be the cause.
Exmarid's Deep Cleansing Shampoo is aimed at dogs prone to dry, scaly or itchy skin, using what Exmarid describe as a triple-action formula built around a natural alternative to coal tar, which is the more traditional anti-scurf ingredient. It comes in a 250ml bottle.

- Aimed at dogs prone to dry, scaly or itchy skin
- Regular use intended to help prevent scurf and flaky skin
What's not specified. Exmarid don't give us a full ingredient list or a washing frequency beyond "regular use" on the information passed to us, so we can't tell you exactly how often to bathe with it — persistent flaking or itching that doesn't settle with a shampoo change is worth a vet visit rather than trying another product.
Who it's for: owners of a dog with an ongoing dry-skin issue looking for a shampoo built around that specific problem, rather than a general all-purpose wash.

Why we chose it
Coal tar shampoos work but plenty of owners don't want to use one, so a natural alternative aimed at the same anti-scurf job fills a genuine gap. It's a targeted product rather than a general shampoo, which is worth the extra cost if dry skin is the actual problem you're solving.
