Full description

A treat that's crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle exists for the same reason a lot of cat toys have feathers on a stick — cats seem to want two textures in the time it takes to eat it, not one.

These are Dreamies' catnip-flavour treats, built from cereals, derivatives of vegetable origin, oils and fats, meat and animal derivatives, vegetable protein extracts and minerals, with catnip flavouring added at 11.9mg/kg. They analyse at 22% protein, 22% fat, 8% inorganic matter and 2% crude fibre, at 416kcal/100g — a genuine treat rather than a meal, so it's meant to sit alongside a cat's normal food rather than replace any of it.

On the pack size. the listing's supporting text for this product refers to a 60g bag, while the size we hold on record for this listing is 200G — we can't reconcile the two from the data supplied, so treat the pack size as unconfirmed until you have the item in hand.

Who it's for: owners of a cat who already takes to catnip and wants a crunchy treat rather than a spray or toy-based one.

Dreamies Cat Treats with Catnip

Why we chose it

Dreamies are one of the more reliably popular treat brands with cats who are otherwise picky, and the catnip flavour is a genuine variant rather than a re-badged chicken one. It's a treat, so it's bought for the reaction rather than the nutrition.
