This carrier is sold in sizes rather than one size, so the manufacturer prints two separate tables: one giving the carrier's own length and width, and one giving the dog waist circumference and recommended weight each size suits.
How to measure
- Waist circumference: measure right round the body at its widest point, behind the front legs.
- Weigh your dog and check it falls inside the recommended weight for the size.
- Length and width are the carrier's own measurements, as marked on the manufacturer's diagram.

Measurements are the manufacturer's own figures, merged from its two tables. Two errors in the original are preserved as printed: the XL carrier width (30cm) is smaller than the L width (31cm), and the waist-circumference bands overlap heavily (S is given as an open 'less than 37 cm' while M starts at 25 cm). The size-labelled dimensions table calls the largest size 'XL'; the fit table calls it 'Extra large size'. Go by waist circumference and weight rather than the size letter, and if between sizes, size up.

Full description
Some pets cannot manage the distance any more, and some never could. An old dog with stiff hips, a puppy not yet through their vaccinations, a nervous cat at the vet: all of them can be out with you without doing the walking themselves. A front carrier keeps them against your chest, where your movement and your heartbeat do most of the reassuring for you before you have said a word.
It is worn on the front rather than the back, which is the right way round for an anxious animal, because they can see you and you can see them.
