Raw feeding rarely comes unstuck on nutrition. It comes unstuck at the freezer door, on the evening the block you meant to take out is still solid, and mince is the format that answers that better than a whole cut ever does.

This is a 1KG pack of frozen mince made up of 60% chicken, 20% salmon, 10% offal and 10% bone, so the bone is ground through it rather than fed alongside, and the salmon is a fifth of the mix rather than a flavour note. The declared analysis is 64.5% moisture, 18.3% crude protein, 12.9% fat, 3.2% crude fibre and 1.1% ash. Dibo list it as a complementary food and not a complete one, which is the most important line on the label: it is a component of a diet, not the diet.

Two of those figures do not look right. A mix carrying 10% bone should declare a good deal more ash than 1.1%, because ash is essentially the mineral fraction and bone is mostly mineral - and 3.2% crude fibre is a strange number for a composition with no plant matter in it at all. We have printed the label as it was given to us, because that is what we have. If you are balancing a raw diet against calcium targets, treat those two figures as unverified and ask Dibo before you rely on them. No calorie figure is published for this mince either.

Who it's for: raw feeders who already have a plan and want a poultry-and-fish mince to sit inside it, and owners of smaller dogs in particular, since the mince format means nothing needs cutting. It is not the bag for someone starting raw who wants one product that does everything, because it is not formulated to.
