Car travel unsettles a lot of dogs, and what settles them is usually not more space but less of it: walls to lean on, a base that absorbs the braking, and the sense of being held rather than slid about. This bed is built around high sides for exactly that reason. The whole cover comes off afterwards, which matters, because the first journey a nervous animal makes is rarely the cleanest one.

The outer is a short-pile wool-effect fabric over a raised eggshell-profile cushion filled with memory foam. The dimpled surface spreads a small dog's weight rather than letting them settle into one flat hollow, and the foam beneath stops the base bottoming out against a hard seat. The whole unit weighs about 1.6kg, so it lifts out of the car and into the house without ceremony, and the cover detaches for machine washing between trips.

The measurements need a word. The gap is small, but we would rather point it out than claim a precision we do not have. The same paperwork rates the bed by weight, at under roughly 11kg, and weight is the wrong test entirely: measure your dog nose to tail base while they are curled up, and go by that.
