Full description

Apple doesn't get used in dog treats as often as you'd think, given how many dogs will happily eat a slice straight from the fruit bowl, which makes it a slightly unusual but welcome addition here.

These charms are built from freshly prepared turkey (70%), potato, apple (4%), carrot and fermented whey, gently air-dried in Ireland with nothing artificial added. Denzel's analysis gives crude protein at 20.8% and fat at 17.2%, working out at 339kcal per 100g.

Suitable for dogs from 16 weeks old

On the fat content. At 17.2% this sits at a moderate level for an air-dried treat - not as lean as a plain meat stick, but nowhere near as rich as some of Denzel's other rewards. Worth factoring into a dog's daily allowance if treats make up a regular part of the diet.

Who it's for: owners of dogs from 16 weeks old who want a turkey-based treat with a genuine fruit ingredient, at a moderate fat level.

Denzels Rewards Turkey & Apple Charms

Why we chose it

Turkey and apple is a slightly different combination worth having in rotation, and it sits at a moderate fat level that suits an everyday treat rather than an occasional rich one. It's built the same honest way as the rest of Denzel's rewards - real ingredients, air-dried, nothing artificial.
