Full description

Puppy teeth and small-dog jaws are not scaled-down versions of a big dog's, so a dental chew sized for a Labrador is either ignored or swallowed too fast to do anything useful.

The base is potato flakes, glycerine and tapioca starch, with salmon at 4%, organic coconut oil at 1%, spearmint at 0.5%, and a small amount of activated charcoal.

7 chews per pack, each approximately 8cm long
For small dogs and puppies from 8 weeks old, under 10kg

Grain and gluten free

On what's actually in it. Salmon is the fish included, but it only makes up 4% of the recipe — most of the chew is potato flakes, glycerine and tapioca starch, doing the job of shaping it rather than feeding your dog fish. If you want a chew where fish is the main ingredient rather than a flavour note, this isn't it.

Who it's for: owners of a small dog or puppy under 10kg looking for a daily dental chew sized appropriately, rather than a big dog's chew broken down.

Denzel's Daily Dentals for Small Dogs & Puppies

Why we chose it

At around 8cm long, this is genuinely sized for a small dog or a puppy rather than a full-size dental chew cut down. Salmon, coconut oil and spearmint give it a distinct flavour and smell without the chew being built mostly from fish.
