Full description

A treat that's nearly as much fat as it is protein is a different thing to a lean chew, and it's worth knowing which one you're handing over before it becomes a daily habit rather than an occasional reward.

This is 100% British chicken, air-dried into strips, with no fillers or grain. Fat runs high for a Cotswold Raw treat at 37.2%, close to the 43% protein figure - it reads as a richer snack than a lean single-ingredient chew.

On the fat content. At 37.2%, fat here runs close to the 43% protein figure - this reads as a richer treat than a lean muscle-meat chew, so it's worth counting towards a dog's daily allowance rather than handing out freely, especially for a dog watching its weight.

Who it's for: owners wanting a British-made savoury chicken treat as an occasional reward, rather than an everyday low-fat snack.

Cotswold Raw British Chicken Strips

Why we chose it

British-sourced chicken with nothing else in the ingredient list is a straightforward thing to hand a dog, and it's made here rather than imported. It reads richer than some of Cotswold's other dried options, so we'd treat it as an occasional reward rather than a daily one.
