A flatter shape sits differently under a paw than a rounded one, giving a cat something easier to pin down and hold still while chewing, rather than a ball that keeps rolling away from underneath it mid-bite.

Stevie Starfish contains catnip and crinkle material, weighing 0.08kg, and sits toward the lower-priced end of Coolpet's character range. Like the rest of the range, there's no dimension published beyond the weight, so the starfish shape is really the only visual difference between this and its siblings.

On price and features. This is one of the cheaper toys in the Coolpet range, but it carries the same catnip-and-crinkle content as pricier shapes in the same line — the cost difference here looks tied to the shape and finish rather than to what's inside it.

Who it's for: owners wanting a budget catnip toy without sacrificing the catnip-and-crinkle combination found in the rest of the range.
