Cats in a shared house sort out their differences vertically. The one who wants to be left alone goes up and in; the one who wants to watch goes up and out. Give a pair of cats only floor-level beds and you get standoffs, because there is nowhere for either of them to withdraw to without losing face. Stacked cubes with enclosed dens and open shelves let each cat pick a different altitude and stop negotiating.

The units are wooden cubes that combine into one freestanding villa, with porthole openings into the closed dens and open levels between them for climbing and keeping watch. Porthole entrances are worth noticing: a small round opening makes a den feel defensible in a way a wide open front does not, which is exactly why a nervous cat will choose one. The cabinet styling is doing a second job, letting the piece read as storage furniture rather than obvious pet kit, and empty cubes can genuinely be used as such.

On measurements and stability. Wooden furniture a cat leaps onto should also be strapped to the wall, and note that nothing here is a scratching surface, so your cat still needs a post somewhere else.

Who it's for: Multi-cat households wanting separate territory at different heights, in a piece that passes as furniture in a room people also use.
