Full description

A training session works best with a treat small enough to give dozens of times without a puppy filling up, which is really a description of what separates a training treat from an ordinary one.

Coachi build this from chicken meal and sweet potato, each at 30%, with glycerine at 14% — a humectant that keeps the treat soft rather than a nutritional ingredient — alongside potato starch, pea, chicken fat, cheese and prebiotic fibres chicory (FOS) and mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) for digestive support. It's grain-free and analyses at 23% protein, 10% fat, 7% ash and 1% fibre.

On the glycerine content. At 14%, glycerine is the third-largest ingredient after chicken meal and sweet potato — it's there to keep the treat soft for training use, not as a nutritional inclusion, and it's worth knowing if you're totalling up what's actually in the bag.

Who it's for: owners doing regular training sessions who need a soft, easily broken treat, for a puppy with no known dairy sensitivity given the cheese content.

Why we chose it

Soft training treats matter more than crunchy ones when you're giving dozens in a session, and this stays soft because of the glycerine content rather than added moisture that spoils faster. The prebiotic inclusion is a sensible extra for a puppy's developing gut.
