Size guide & how to measure

A good bed lets your pet stretch out and curl up. Measure your pet nose-to-tail while they’re lying down, then add room to move.

How to measure

Measure your pet from nose to base of tail while lying relaxed.
Add roughly 15–25 cm so they can stretch out fully.
For pets that like to curl, you can size down slightly for a snug, den-like feel.

Size	Typical internal length	Rough guide
S	up to ~50 cm	Cats, toy & small breeds
M	~50–70 cm	Small–medium dogs
L	~70–90 cm	Medium–large dogs
XL	90 cm +	Large & giant breeds

Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact dimensions.

Material: Plush fabric

Full description

Cats and small dogs sleep better with something solid against their back, which is why they choose the corner of a sofa over the middle of a rug every time. A bolster bed builds that preference in: raised sides running right around the edge to lean into and rest a chin on, with a soft cushioned base in the middle to curl down into once they have settled.

The whole thing is plush, with a contrast cushion set into the base, and the bolster sides are filled to hold their shape rather than flattening the first time something heavy leans on them — that is the entire point of a bolster, and a bed whose walls collapse is really just a mat. A handle on the top lets you lift the bed with the cat still in it and move the arrangement to whichever room the family has ended up in.

Raised bolster sides for back and head support
Soft plush throughout with a contrast cushion base
Carry handle on top for moving it in one piece
Festive red-and-gold colourway
Sized for cats and small dogs

Who it's for: Cats and small dogs who sleep pressed into something, and households who want the bed to travel from room to room with them.

Why we chose it

A bolster is only worth paying for if the walls hold their shape, since a bed whose sides collapse is really just a mat. These are filled to stand up. The handle means you can move the bed with the cat still in it.
